Whenever I try to reset my routines, or do a life reset, my mind immediately jumps to the big things. You know, starting a new diet to cut out sugar, trying to exercise at home 3,4 times a week, rearranging my furniture etc. And I always associate this with a New Year, like many of you do too, I can only guess. Let me know if I’m right!
But I listened to a podcast a while ago (I think it was Mel Robbins), probably last summer or so, about how September is the perfect time to reset your life, because the seasons change, we go from summer with long nights into autumn and colder weather, rain, and we stay in more often. We connect this time with a new school year too, because we’ve been in that mode year after year, so our brain is now wired to think so.
I love that. And I want to bring that mood to you too, and help you get back on track with a free planner bundle I created specifically for this occasion!
Where to Start if You Want to Reset Your Life
My first advice would be: don’t try to change your whole life overnight. You will probably (not to be so harsh and say definitely) fail. If you look at the life reset checklist I made, you’ll think yeah, well how do you think I can do all of these things at once?!
And that’s where we need to change how we think, and realize that this isn’t easy, it’s not pretty and poetic as our fav influencers make it out to be. It takes real work, it takes courage, it takes TIME.
You should instead look at it as an inspiration for everything you could (not should) work on, because some of the changes might not be applicable to your lifestyle because of your job, your current situation, and so on. You know yourself best, remember that.
Let Me Show You the Way
As I mentioned, this bundle has three tools, intentionally so. I envisioned it like a complete pack for rebooting your life, and here’s how:
Start With a Life Reset Checklist as Inspo
You’ve got 17 ideas to go through in this amazing checklist. Ideas that you can use to slowly change your life. If you start in September, or October, well you’ve got a lot of time until the end of the year. Imagine where you could be if you start working on yourself today.
Some of the things listed are made simple, so you already feel accomplished because you checked a few items, and it’s only the first month of your reset. Talk about a win!

You decide where to start, but here’s how I would do it:
1. Fall / Winter Wardrobe Organization
For example, I love starting with this one. When I was a kid, my sister and I loved playing with our clothes, pulling everything out and pretending like one of us has a store and the other one is a customer. So we would take it all out (our mom was not happy about it, for sure) and try to pile it all neatly and fold it like they do in the malls. When I think about it now, it seems that I loved organizing things even back then. But why am I telling you this?
Well, if the idea of pulling all your summer clothes out on our bed seems scary, maybe you could do this too. If you have kids, you could involve them as well, make it a playdate. They would learn the lesson of organizing their clothes from an early age, and you would get the help you need. Just make it fun for them and you too!
Find one motivating thing about it and it will come easier – maybe you’d like to donate to your community and this is how you’ll see what you no longer need but they might, or maybe you outgrew some clothes and you want to give them to your younger sibling, just find your thing.
2. Clean Your Work Station
This one also seems less difficult than, let’s say, establishing a new habit. Maybe you’ve used your desk as a clothes rack over the summer and now it’s time to use it again – to study, to work, to create. So clean it out. Throw away the clutter like receipts, old papers, whatever is extra and doesn’t belong there.
Maybe add some fall decor to make it prettier and more inviting, make it cozy so you want to use it daily.
3. The Harder Goals – What About Them?
These ones take more time and once you’ve gone through the list, you know what you want to focus on. They are the ones you will work on for the next couple of months, so we will process them on quarterly and monthly levels.
Quarterly Goals – Thinking Ahead
When you’ve checked all the “smaller” things from the checklist, it’s time to think about the big picture. If you haven’t done this before, quarterly means focusing on yearly quarters, so we have four of them, each lasting three months.
You might be nervous, you might think you can’t do it and it’s too hard. It is hard, but it’s also rewarding. And you know what happens if you miss a deadline, or you fail at something? Nothing!

You are working on yourself, because you want a better life for yourself. So don’t punish yourself if suddenly life happens and you don’t manage to follow your new routine everyday. Nobody’s watching but you, and you have time.
1. What Do You Want to Achieve This Season?
Write down your big goals, but be specific, because you will then chunk them down into monthly goals. These goals are broad, but measurable. What is it that you want to change this season? Is it your diet, do you want to be healthier and work on your eating habits? Do you want to find a new job? Do you want to start reading again?
Some examples would be:
- Read 3 books
- Exercise at least 3x a week
- Finish one course about SEO
You’ll notice how specific they are (3 books, 3x a week), but they are still broad because they don’t go into details like which books, fiction or non-fiction and so on.
2. New Routines You Want to Start
Same deal here. Think about specific routines or steps you want to add to your existing routines, like “stretching for 20min in the morning” or “wake up everyday at the same time”.
3. What Will You Make a Priority?
What matters to you the most, in life, work, personal development? Is it financial stability, spending more time with your family instead of working overtime, reducing your spending expenses?
4. What Will You Focus on?
Think about the phrases that will define everything you set above – “simplify my life”, “being present”, “being consistent”.
Planning Your Monthly Goals
We have three main parts of this life canvas:
- The “START DOING” section is for you to identify new habits or routines you want to incorporate (the ones we set on a quarterly level, now more detailed)
- Use “Daily Focus” to clarify what you want your days to revolve around
- The “CONTINUE DOING” helps you acknowledge what’s already working
- Use the “STOP DOING” section to eliminate energy drains

Finally, complete the bottom sections by honestly assessing what depletes your energy versus what energizes you – this awareness becomes crucial for sustainable planning. By mapping out both your energy boosters and drainers, you can plan your new goals and habits around your natural rhythms rather than fighting against them.
There is No Life Reset Button
I wish I could tell you there’s a magic reset button for life that would instantly transform everything, but we both know that’s not how it works. But I can offer you this life resetting bundle. It is free and I hope you will share it with your friends and use it to spark conversation with some friends too.
I tried explaining it as simply as I could, but you’ll probably have questions along the way, once you start using it. So, I’m here, and we can try this together. Drop me a comment, send me an email, or DM me on Instagram!
Hopefully I made life reset not seem so daunting!
